​Nicola Harrison is an inspirational and highly experienced singing coach with a fantastic track record who enables her students to sing with confidence, freedom and top quality performance. Her technique training is supported by anatomical, medical and artistic evidence

​Nicola welcomes talented young singers of 16+ and has taught singing at an advanced level for over 25 years. She is a deep technical teacher working in an embodied way that combines art, anatomy and science to create an authentic, beautiful sound. She also offers vocal rehabilitation for damaged, strained or voices in crisis.

Students accolades’

Many of Nicola’s students have gone on to win scholarships to music colleges and drama schools. They have also won international competitions, received Academy Award nominations, Olivier awards, Oscar nominations and have performed in the West End, at the Royal Variety Show and had contracts in television, film and theatre. Six of her students performed in a private audience for the late Queen.

Educational teaching

She has taught singing at several Oxford colleges and choirs, schools, and at other universities, the WEA and at Billy Elliot the Musical where she was the voice coach for a decade of Billies! She regularly prepares students for auditions to music colleges, drama schools and West End roles. Her students have excelled on stage and in performance, winning international prizes for singing and taking lead roles in films such as Little Women, Midsomer, the Impossible, Spider Man and more.

Language coaching

Nicola offers expert professional coaching in English, Spanish and French song from pronunciation and idiom to performance. She has trained in multi-disciplines: musical theatre, folk, classical and jazz vocal technique and has been trained and mentored by top vocal experts, including famed vocal physiologist Pam Cook, MBE, musical theatre diva pedagogue Mary Hammond, mezzo-soprano superstar Teresa Berganza and vocal anatomist Meribeth Dayme MD. To name but a few, she is CoreSinging, Estill, Accent Method, Alexander Technique trained and in many other performance skills. She has degrees from Oxford and London Universities, and an MA in Education. She is further trained in functional anatomy, vocal anatomy, voice clinic and ENT.
