Technical training for all styles of singing

​Nicola Harrison is an inspirational and highly experienced singing coach with a fantastic track record who enables her students to sing with confidence, freedom and top quality performance. Her technical training is supported by anatomical, medical and artistic evidence.

​Nicola welcomes talented young singers of 16+ and has taught singing at an advanced level for over 25 years. She also offers vocal rehabilitation.

Students accolades’

Many of Nicola’s students have gone on to win scholarships to music colleges and drama schools. They have also won international competitions, received Academy Award nominations, Olivier awards, Oscar nominations and have performed in the West End, at the Royal Variety Show.

They have taken lead roles in films such as Little Women, Midsomer, the Impossible, Spider Man and more. Six of her students performed in a private audience for the late Queen.

Education

Mentored by top vocal experts including vocal physiologist Pam Cook, MBE, Mary Hammond and opera superstar Teresa Berganza and vocal anatomist Meribeth Dayme MD.

She has degrees from Oxford and London Universities, a PGCE and MA in Education. She is further trained in functional anatomy, vocal anatomy, voice clinic and ENT.

Educational teaching

She has taught singing at several Oxford colleges and choirs, schools, and at other universities, the WEA and at Billy Elliot the Musical where she was the voice coach for a decade of Billies! She regularly prepares students for auditions to music colleges, drama schools and West End roles.

Language coaching

Nicola offers expert professional coaching in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German song from pronunciation and idiom to performance.

Vocal Rehabilitation 

Nicola is able to offer effective vocal rehabilitation for a wide range of vocal problems in both the singing and the spoken voice.
